The Celebration of the color is back.
The day of colors when everyone will be busy
enjoying the Holi, the festival of colors especially in India. The day when
everyone will be forgetting and forgiving their enemies and create a new bond,
the day when all the family and friends will be in one shade, the day when
almost everyone will be smiling with purity in heart, yes the day has some
significance for Indian.
In the mythology of India, this full moon day is
celebrated as Holika Dahan. Holika the symbol of evil things. Time to time the
environment which is not suitable for us, the surrounding which is full of
negativity are effecting us and influencing us in changing our decisions,
diverting us from the right journey of our life. This is the day where we all
burn the devil and become victorious in life.
According to mythology the king Hiranyakashyap,
the king showed so devotion that he got the blessings from the god that no one
can kill him. After getting the blessing he started thinking of him as a god.
he forced his son, Prahlad, the great devotee of Shri Krishna, to worship him
as a god. But Prahlad being the truly dedicated devotee of the Shri Krishna
refused to do it. So in anger, he wanted his own son to be dead and ordered
the Holika to kill his son. Hilaka had the special power to cheat fire as she
was blessed that fire can't kill her. With this advantage, she set her on fire
and tried to kill Prahlad. But the opposite happened and Holika died, and from
that day onwards the day was celebrated as Holika Dahan where the Indian
devotee burn woods in the fire to celebrate the victory over bad.
Somehow it is a great lesson but the fact about it
may be a little different. It is about burning the bad things that are there
inside you and ignite the fire of truth to make oneself free from various
struggles. It's about filling ourselves with the power of colors in real
meaning. We wish you a happy holi and wish you spend the day by filling
the actual color in the mind and feel the bless around.
